Use OrganiseYou as your app’s backend

Give a custom web or mobile app a configurable data model and a controlled API.

How to set it up

  1. 01

    Define the shared model

Create the entities, fields and relationships your app needs. For example, relate projects to customers and tasks to projects. Your team can also build OrganiseYou forms and grids over the same data.

  2. 02

    Choose the API surface

Configure endpoints with the fields and operations you want to expose. REST has an authenticated OpenAPI description; GraphQL and OData are also available through their endpoint exposure settings.

  3. 03

    Choose the right identity

Use a Connection credential with explicit grants for server-to-server calls. For a browser app acting as an organization member, register a Client app and use OAuth authorization code with PKCE. The app redirects users to OrganiseYou to sign in.

  4. 04

    Integrate and test

Build against the permitted API operations. Check record creation and updates, token expiry, denied operations and tenant boundaries. Keep machine credentials on the server.
